Vinedo Escorial 2019

Robert Parker
Tim Atkin
Some might call the Vinedo Escorial the most pure expression of Carmenere on the market. Antiyal's Vinedo Escorial is composed entirely of fruit from the vineyard's prized Carmenere 'Block 7'. Only 1,500 - 2,000 bottles of this exquisite wine are produced annually from the low-yield vines. A full-bodied earthy wine with red fruit, a dash of pepper and a touch of herbaceousness. Round, supple tannins cradle the mouth and the finish lingers for minutes.

Tasting Notes

Deep, rich ruby color bordering on purple. Wild earthy undertones with a wave of red fruit, and pepper creeping down the palate. After decanting, supple, round tannins deliver a decadent mouthfeel.
