Arganat 2019

Tim Atkin
RATED CHARDONNAY OF THE YEAR BY TIM ATKIN.
A special vintage of exceptional Chardonnay: the Arganat. While barrel tasting, Thierry, Charlie and Anamaria were so impressed by the quality of the wine, they decided to match the quality of the wine in the barrel by ageing it in the famed cooperage Nadalie's Quartz barrels. The wood is sourced from the Vosges forest, home to a particularly sought after tight-grained oak. The end product is a concentrated, laser-focused wine with lemon custard, peach, vanilla, toast and flint notes. Exceptionally long finish with layers of complexity. Only ~1,400 bottles produced.
